David Potter joined Scotia Waterous in 2006, following 13 years in Scotia Capital’s Investment Banking and Mergers & Acquisitions groups. Mr. Potter is Vice Chairman and Deputy Head of Scotia Waterous in the Calgary office and is responsible for business development and management of the firm.

Since joining Scotia Capital in 1993, Mr. Potter has held progressively senior roles in Toronto and Calgary, with a particular focus on the Energy sector. Immediately prior to his current role, Mr. Potter was Deputy Head of Scotia Capital’s Mergers & Acquisitions group with responsibility for the origination and execution of the firm’s advisory mandates across all industrial sectors.

Mr. Potter holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (Economics) from Laval University and a Masters degree in Business Administration from London Business School.
